SydTek / Nationwide industry & skills framework
Skills for work.
Skills for life.
Learn a practical skill. Make something useful. Explain the evidence. A growing framework for children and families, teen career exploration, and adult workforce learning—beginning with pilot development in Ocean City, Maryland.
The national design
One framework. Local delivery.
SydTek connects a reusable teaching method with industry tasks and the needs of each community. The national core provides the lesson sequence, instructor guidance, content versions, rubrics, and dataset documentation. Each industry module defines the work learners will practice. A local record establishes who will deliver it, for whom, and under which requirements.
01 / NATIONAL CORE
A method that travels
Begin with a short starting task, model a skill, practice together, then ask the learner to apply and explain it. Keep the source facts, feedback, and reviewed result connected.
02 / INDUSTRY MODULE
A useful task
Name the job or everyday skill, prerequisites, tools, realistic constraints, expected decisions, and reviewer. Adapt the examples to the intended learners.
03 / LOCAL RECORD
A responsible host
Document the state, region, provider, host, delivery arrangements, learner eligibility, source links, and latest review. Check occupational and funding requirements for that location.
The framework is nationwide in design. Local delivery develops through agreed pilots; publishing the framework does not establish a school authorization, funded enrollment, or institutional partnership. A curriculum can travel while its local approvals are checked separately.
Choose a starting point
Three pathways, one learning habit.
Children & families
Count supplies, make a fair welcome plan, and explain a practical next step. Children can draw, speak, or write, with reading and number support from an adult.
Try the welcome-pack activity →Creator & career lab
Plan a fictional community event, check a flawed AI draft, and explain decisions about supplies, access, and room capacity. Build communication and evidence-checking skills.
Explore the teen activity →Adult workforce lab
Reconcile attendance, inventory, and a shipment. Produce an accurate operational update, a discrepancy log, and a clear handoff for unresolved issues.
Explore the workforce activity →These are proposed workshop formats with authored fictional cases. Hosts agree supervision, accessibility, participation arrangements, and actual session dates. The exercises work on paper; a device or AI account is not required.
The first industry modules
Start with skills people can use.
Hospitality & events
Guest communication, accurate event instructions, preparation, service handoffs, and welcoming different needs. Learners create an event plan and explain the facts behind it.
Logistics & inventory
Counting, reconciliation, shortage reporting, scheduling, and exception handling. Learners distinguish ordered, received, usable, and still-needed supplies.
AI & digital creation
Source checking, responsible drafting, storytelling, and human review. Learners improve a draft by checking evidence and explaining their corrections.
Build the next module with us
Manufacturing and trades, sports and recreation operations, and small-business skills are expansion candidates. Each new module begins with a defined need, an appropriate subject reviewer, a complete exercise, and a delivery plan.
From a lesson to a reusable resource
Teach it. Review it. Document it.
Package an authored case so another instructor or organization can understand, review, and reuse it. The starting products are fictional teaching cases and instructor resources. A reusable dataset specification includes:
| Product field | What the pack records |
|---|---|
| Identity & scope | Stable case ID, version, industry, skill, audience, and prerequisites. |
| Teaching content | Source card, learner task, expected response, rubric, and a worked sample. |
| Structure & provenance | Schema, field definitions, source record, authorship, synthetic-content label, and rights record. |
| Review & maintenance | Human review status, reviewer role, known limitations, release date, correction process, and update policy. |
Deliver a readable sample alongside CSV or JSON when useful. Scope internal use, redistribution, and AI training rights separately in the license. Access to a sample or instructor kit does not automatically include every use. Show the fields, a complete case, and its expected answer so a buyer can assess fit before agreeing a license.
A learning record preserves the task, initial attempt, assistance, feedback, reviewer, and any reassessment. The public or commercial dataset contains authored synthetic cases or material authorized for that use. Private learner and employer records stay with the responsible host under appropriate access and retention arrangements.
For hosts, instructors & organizations
Choose the engagement.
Curriculum & instructor kit
Discuss a ready-to-review lesson pack: source cards, activity sheets, answer guidance, rubric, and facilitator preparation.
Explore curriculum resources →Organization license
Scope curriculum or authored dataset use across agreed sites, instructors, and learner groups, with defined reuse and update terms.
Discuss an organization license →Custom employer training
Turn a practical operating problem into an agreed workshop, case set, and review process with subject-matter input.
Discuss employer training →The written agreement identifies the course version, instructors, sites, learner capacity, adaptation rights, update term, support, and payment responsibility. Grant-funded purchases follow the buyer’s applicable program and procurement requirements. These are inquiry pathways; scope and terms are agreed before a purchase or delivery commitment.
Bring one practical problem and the audience you want to serve. We can review the sample together and define the next module around that need.
