ENOCHIAN MEDITATIONS / Business decision wisdom
Awaiting ENOCH review
For an AI pilot, keep the clock running after the first draft arrives. Include the work needed to make the result usable.
NIST's AI Risk Management Framework 1.0 calls for documented tests and metrics, performance measurements under conditions resembling deployment, and consideration of costs arising from AI errors. These are risk-management principles, not a promise of productivity gains.
Practical interpretation: compare complete workflows. Time spent checking sources, correcting mistakes and transferring results belongs in the pilot record alongside drafting time.
Today's action
Choose one low-risk task, such as summarizing a public supplier document. Run a small comparison using comparable documents: your current process and the proposed AI-assisted process. Set the same quality requirements for both. Record preparation, drafting, verification and correction time separately. Include tool charges and unresolved errors; keep private data out.
Ask a reviewer to assess the finished outputs without knowing which process produced them where practical. Record task differences, reviewer time and the model and prompt versions so the comparison can be questioned and repeated.
Use the free toolkit's decision memo to report total effort at the required quality. If the sample is small or tasks differ, say so. A promising demonstration is a reason to investigate further, not evidence of guaranteed savings.
